LESSON CANCELLATION

  • There is a “no cancellation/no make-up” policy for lessons.
  • If the student cannot attend a lesson due to illness or a death in the family, make-ups will be provided based on availability. In this case, if a make-up lesson cannot be arranged, a credit will be applied to the next lesson at the end of the regular payment period. Make-up lessons will most likely be VIRTUAL.
  • Lessons canceled for any reason (other than sickness or family death) are considered missed lessons and will NOT be reimbursed.
  • The instructor must be given notification by the 25th of the previous month for lessons canceled due to upcoming travel, vacation, or track-outs where the student will not be in town. The student will still be billed for FOUR lessons for the month.
  • Missed lessons: Anytime the instructor arrives at the student’s location to conduct the lesson and the student is unavailable, the cost for a full 30-minute lesson will be due, even if a makeup lesson is/is not scheduled.
  • The instructor reserves the right to cancel lessons. If possible, the instructor will give 24-hour notice. Credit will be applied to the next lesson at the end of the regular payment period.
  • The instructor will cancel lessons for the last two weeks of the year. Families will NOT be billed for those two weeks.
  • Inclement weather: Most often, the instructor will follow the Wake County Public School closings to determine lesson schedules. The instructor will give 24-hour notice of any changes to the schedule, except in emergency situations and/or it is deemed unsafe to travel. Lessons canceled due to inclement weather may be done virtually, made up on another day, or credited to the next month.
  • ***EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2020*** – CREDIT WILL NO LONGER BE GIVEN FOR STUDENTS MISSING LESSONS DUE TO THE STUDENT ATTENDING CAMP, VACATION, OR OTHER EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES.
  • An automatic withdrawal is instated when four (4) or more consecutive lessons are canceled.
